Union Budget as historical intending to transform India

Bhopal. The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan giving his reaction on the union budget presented by the Union Finance Minister Shri Arun Jaitley today described the budget as historical, wholistic in approach intending to transform India.

Shri Chouhan said that the budget will strengthen states, the federal system and the economy will get a new life in the form of digital economy. It has taken care of the development of each segment. This budget is reflective of the vision of collective development. He said that the budget will be instrumental in building an integrated economy of India.

Shri Chouhan said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister shri Narendra Modi , India growing rapidly. No one can stop its pace. All obstacles are gradually being eliminated.

He said that the Indian economy is the world’s fastest growing economy. India is developing itself as a unified market, which will facilitate investment and economic growth.

The Chief Minister said that the last budget had radical steps for the welfare of farmers. They will further be strengthened in this budget. Dairy processing infrastructure development fund  will help     state cattlemen and farmers.  State’s milk production has inreased tremendously. This will benefit livestock farmers. The provision of  credit facility will benefit farmers in millions as they could easily  meet  loan requrement. Five thousand crore   micro irrigation infrastructure fund would strengthen the state. Over the next five years these provisions will help  double the income of farmers. He said that  proposed new legislation for contract farming will immensely benefit the farmers. This is a reflective  of the progressive thinking of the Central Government, he added.

Shri Chouhan welcomed the move to eliminate the poverty. He said that centers for the youth of Indian International Skill Development Centres will make the  youth employable.  In his response to the provisions of the Railway Budget he said that waiving off the service charge on online railway ticket booking  is a big step. It will promote  cashless transaction on one hand and give relief to passengers on the other hand.  The  tax relief for small companies will help to promote  small and micro-enterprises on a wider scale.  He said that the personal income tax relief will also be a big relief to common people.

He said that Rs 2000  personal contribution to political parties and digital accounting of more than 2000 will bring transparency and cleanness in politics. Shri Chouhan said that the  Rs.  4,000 crore SANKALP  programme will  enable the young people to earn a smart living. He said that the mission for  promoting cashless transactions is a welcome step. This will help the country grow faster  into a  digital economy .
