World class industrial township for Japanese investors to be developed at Pithampur

Bhopal : Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh has conducive atmosphere for investment. He invited Japanese investors to invest in the state. For them, a world class industrial township will be developed at Pithampur. The township will provide them various facilities in accordance with Japanese culture, language and facilities including education, health, restaurant, market, entertainment etc.

Chief Minister was addressing a Japanese investors’ seminar at Pithampur in Indore today. Industries Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa, industrialists from Japan Seji Takaji, Nayeshu Nagochi and C.P. Sharma were also present on the occasion.

Chief Minister said that Japan and India have friendly ties for centuries. They also share commercial and cultural relations. He called for further cementing these ties. The state has all the resources and facilities for investors. Madhya Pradesh is an island of peace. All basic facilities including power, roads and water are available here. There are better education facilities. Skilled manpower is also available. The state has industry-friendly policy. Chouhan said that single-table instead of single-window arrangement has been made for investors where problems of investors are being solved under one roof. He inforemd that land bank of 25 hectares has been developed to set up industries. Investors can choose land online and they would be allotted the same immediately.

Chief Minister said that all facilities will be provided for Japanese entrepreneurs at integrated industrial township at Pithampur. For them, a golf court will also be developed. He also invited Japanese investors to Global Investors Summit to be held in October and Simhastha in April-May. He concluded his address by reciting a poem in Japanese language.

Industries Minister Smt. Scindia said that the state has political stability for last several years. Due to it, development has got a new direction. She said that India and Japan have trustworthy ties.

Chief Secretary Anthony de Sa informed about facilities for power, roads, water, education, health etc mentioned in industrial policy. He also informed about concessions and facilities being given to Japanese companies in the state.

Japanese ambassador in India Kenji Hiramatsu said that several Japanese companies have invested in many Indian states including Chennai, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra etc. Now Madhya Pradesh has emerged as the strongest economic zone in India. He said that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had visited Japan in October, met Japanese Prime Minister, Finance Minister and Industries Minister and signed MoUs. During journey, he had also invited a number of Japanese investors to Madhya Pradesh. Due to it, Japanese investors started evincing interest in investing in Madhya Pradesh. The ambassador said that strong leadership creates self-confidence in us. The ambassador said that he has visited Indore’s hospitals and educational institutions. Transport facility here is of world class . There are conducive conditions for Japanese investors here. He said that he is ready to collaborate in works at Indore and other cities of Madhya Pradesh. He said that Japanese people feel overwhelmed by hearty welcome. The Chief Minister and people of the state have impressed him very much. He said that he and several Japanese companies will attend Global Investors Summit.
