Petrol-diesel rates will be lower: CM

Prices of petrol and diesel will be lower in Chhattisgarh compared to neighbouring states, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Wednesday.

He told the media after a Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Executive meeting at Durg that all the information regarding the reduction of state excise tax has been received through the media.

How much it has been reduced and what the price is can be accessed only after the orders issued by Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Odisha are studied, he said.

“Once the orders on reduction of state excise duty are analysed, then petrol-diesel prices (in Chhattisgarh) will be lower as compared to these states,” Baghel said.
