MS Dhoni, Kedar Jadhav star in chase as India beat Australia by 6 wickets

An unbeaten 141-run stand between Dhoni and Jadhav took India to an easy win in the first ODI

Hyderabad: An unbeaten 141-run stand between MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav took India to a six-wicket win in the first of the five-match ODI series against
Australia in Hyderabad on Saturday. Reduced to 99-4 at one stage, India were in a spot of bother as they lost their top-four following a 76-run partnership
between captain Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma.
It was up to the Indian middle-order to prove a point ahead of the Cricket World Cup 2019 and Kedar Jadhav grabbed the opportunity with both his hands in
the company of Dhoni. Jadhav remained unbeaten on 81 runs from 87 balls that included 9 fours and 1 six. On the other hand, Dhoni was 59 not out from 72
balls. His innings included 6 fours and 1 six. Earlier, riding on Usman Khawaja’s 50 at the top and collective efforts by Glenn Maxwell (40), Marcus Stoinis
(37) and Alex Carey (36), Australia scored 236-7 in 50 overs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
