Ahead of February 1, FM Jaitley hints at farm relief package in interim budget
with just 12 days left before the outgoing government announces its interim budget on February 1, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has hinted at the possibility of certain big-ticket announcements for the farm sector.
Arun Jaitley hinted that the government could put aside election-year convention and look to resolve economic challenges that need to be addressed immediately.
Speaking at an award function organised by a news channel, the finance minister said via video conferencing that it may become necessary to address some of the immediate concerns revolving the farm sector an indication that big-ticket reforms will be a part of the interim budget.
