Monsoon will enter MP before the eastern part: Estimate of entry within 3 days; Earlier, pre-monsoon activity across the state

Amidst the activity of ‘Biparjoy’ storm, the entry of monsoon in Madhya Pradesh will be before the eastern part. According to HS Pandey, Senior Scientist of Meteorological Centre, Bhopal, the monsoon may arrive earlier in Jabalpur, Shahdol, Betul, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Betul, Seoni, Mandla, Chhindwara, Dindori, Balaghat, Narsinghpur and Anuppur. Monsoon can knock within 3 days i.e., on or before 25th June. Then the activity of monsoon coming from the Arabian Sea will start.

Met said that the monsoon is progressing rapidly from the eastern region. It can enter Madhya Pradesh in 2 to 3 days. Monsoon will reach across the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior in the next 72 hrs. Heavy and light rain is expected in many cities of the state on Thursday due to the storm ‘Biparjoy’ which caused heavy destruction in Gujarat and Rajasthan. There may be heavy rains in the adjoining districts of Rajasthan. There is a possibility of heavy rains in many districts in the next 3 days. Wind can also blow here at a speed of 40 to 60 km per hour.

Heavy rain alert in these districts for next 3 days

Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Betul, Harda, Dewas, Shajapur, Agar-Malwa, Rewa, Satna, Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara and Panna on 22 June.

A continuous rain system is forming in the capital Bhopal for the next four to five days. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain on June 22. It will be cloudy on June 23, while heavy rain is expected on June 23 and 25. Earlier on Wednesday, there was light rain in some parts of the city. At the same time, there were clouds.

Rain in 9 districts including Satna, Damoh, Raisen, Seoni, mercury dropped

Earlier on Wednesday, the weather pattern in the state had changed. Satna received about half an inch of rain till evening. At the same time, it rained in Damoh, Raisen, Seoni, Agar, Shajapur, Narmadapuram and Sagar. In Bhopal, there was drizzle in some areas in the evening. There were also clouds.

Here, due to rain and cloud cover, the coolness in the atmosphere dissolved. The temperature remained below 40 degrees in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur. Sidhi recorded the highest temperature of 41.2 degree Celsius. Whereas, Shivpuri remained the coldest. The temperature here was 28.2 degrees.
