Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that I have come among my sisters with the message of changing their lives for the better. We will not stop at Ladli Bahna Yojana, it is our resolve to increase the income of women to Rs 10,000 per month through the Livelihood Mission. Chief Minister  Chouhan was addressing the grand Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Sammelan-cum-Chief Minister’s residential land rights letter distribution and bhoomi pujan/dedication programme at the fair ground in Gwalior.

Chief Minister  Chouhan along with Union Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister  Narendra Singh Tomar and Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia performed bhoomi-pujan and dedicated development works worth approximately Rs 777 crore 35 lakh. Along with this, the benefits of government schemes and Chief Minister’s residential land rights letters were distributed to women symbolically. Keys of the office were handed over to the Ladli Bahna Sena and women were honoured for their excellent performance in various fields. The women of the district also presented hand-made gifts to Chief Minister  Chouhan and other guests. Chief Minister  Chouhan announced the installation of a centralized AC system in a 1,000-bed hospital.

District in-charge and Water Resources Minister  Tulsiram Silavat, Energy Minister  Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Minister of State for (Independent Charge) Horticulture and Food Processing Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha, Minister of State for Public Works  Suresh Dhakad.

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that in order to empower women socially, educationally and economically, the government has given concrete shape to revolutionary schemes like Mukhyamantri Ladli Laxmi Yojna, Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojna and Ladli Bahna Yojna. Ladli Bahna Yojana is like a mantra to change the lives of women. The government is giving Rs 15 thousand crore every month to about 1.25 crore women of the state. He said that the amount of Ladli Bahna Yojana will be gradually increased to Rs.3000.

Chief Minister  Chouhan and other guests inaugurated the programme with kanya pujan, paying floral tributes on the picture of Amazon Rani Durgavati and lighting the lamp. Member of Parliament  Vivek Narayan Shejwalkar, in his welcome address, described the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Bahna Yojana as bringing a big change in the lives of women. He thanked Chief Minister  Chouhan for implementing the scheme.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that women will be unified in Ladli Bahna Senas in every village of the state. 11 women members will be included in small village’s Ladli Bahna Sena and 21 women will be included in big village.

Remaining women will also be registered, women in the age group of 21 to 23 years will also be added.

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the women who have not been able to register under Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana will be registered. Along with this, now women of minimum 21 years age group will also be linked to this scheme. Earlier the minimum age in this scheme was 23 years.

Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare  Narendra Singh Tomar said that under the leadership of Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan the state government has taken revolutionary steps for women empowerment along with bringing Madhya Pradesh from the category of sickly state to developed states. Due to these steps initiated by the state government, there has been a remarkable improvement in the male to female sex ratio in the state. Empowerment of the country is impossible without women empowerment. Keeping this in mind, the central and state governments have made effective schemes for the welfare of women. Prime Minister  Narendra Modi and Chief Minister  Chouhan demonstrate on the ground what they say. The work done towards the social and economic empowerment of women confirms this.

Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister  Jyotiraditya Scindia said that the central and state governments have worked to advance women power, so that women power can decide the path of their own progress. Daughters are no longer a burden in the country and the state. Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao programme launched by Prime Minister  Narendra Modi and Ladli Laxmi, Ladli Bahna and Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah-Nikah Yojana launched by Chief Minister  Chouhan have played an important role in this. He said that Gwalior is changing. Here a thousand bed hospital, construction of international level airport and railway station, elevated road, Chambal project for drinking water, etc. are taking shape.  Scindia also underlined the changes brought about by other schemes including Ayushman card, Ujjwala Yojana, door-to-door toilet and Jal Jeevan Mission established by the government to provide tap water to every household.

Chief Minister  Chouhan and other guests handed over the keys and allotment letter of the office building of “Ladli Bahna Sena” to the women who came from Rehat village of District Panchayat Ghatigaon of Gwalior district.
