Delhi Rains: Yamuna above Danger Level, 700 Evacuated
Yamuna remained above the danger mark on Sunday, a day when continuous release of water by Haryana, resulted in flooding in several low-lying areas of the national capital.
With the water level rising to 205.28 metres, the Yamuna is flowing almost 45 centimetres above the read enamel markings.
Some 700 people have been evacuated to relief camps set up by flood control department of the Delhi government.
Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said elaborate arrangements were in place to provide relief to those affected by the flood.
