Diggy’s letter to MP Mins causes flutter

The letter of senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha member Digvijay Singh, written to ministers in Madhya Pradesh has caused flutter in political circles.

Former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has urged Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi to intervene into the matter, claiming the situation has left the bureaucrats confused.

Attacking on the Congress Government, former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday alleged that there is a constitutional crisis in Madhya Pradesh as it was Kamal Nath who took oath as Chief Minister but it is Digvijay Singh, who is running the Government.

Chouhan who in the past has commented that there are two and a half CMs in Madhya Pradesh, on Monday quoted statement of Forest minister Umang Singhar against Singh.

Singhar who in the past had a verbal spat with Singh on Sunday had created sensation claiming Digvijay Singh was running the government in the backdrop.

His outburst was generated by media reports that Singh had written letters to cabinet ministers in which the senior leader alleged that his references were not paid any heed by the ministers since January this year when the government assumed office.

“We are not saying this, a cabinet minister is claiming that Congress government is being run by Digvijay Singh,” Chouhan told the media persons.

It’s a bizarre situation, if Digvijay ji is running the government, then what he is running and how, asked Chouhan shortly explaining himself that Singh was sending letters to ministers, seeking answers that what happened to the works assigned by him.

With no constitutional post, whether Singh reserves any right to threaten the ministers in this manner, he further asked.
