Rs. 5 lakh incentive money each to Panchayats elected unopposed

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that efforts will be made to ensure that Panchayats are elected unopposed in next elections. Such Panchayats will be given incentive money of Rs. 5 lakh each. The Chief Minister announced this while responding to public reception accorded to him at Shahganj in Sehore district today. Shri Chouhan was accorded warm welcome at several places. The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone for Shri Aurobindo Public School being constructed by Vardhman industrial house at a cost of Rs. 14 crore. He announced to open a college at Budhni from the current session. He said that ITI will also be upgraded.

The Chief Minister said that development of villages is possible only through people’s cooperation. Moral campaigns should be launched in villages. It is necessary to rid villages from curses of open-air defecation and addiction. He said that efforts will be made to reach out irrigation water to tail-end farmers. Smart phones will be given to students taking admission in colleges.

A number of institutions and individuals accorded grand receptions to Shri Chouhan after arriving at Shahganj for the first time after becoming Chief Minister third time. The Chief Minister reached from helipad to Dussehra Maidan in an open jeep. Flower petals were showered on him all through the way. The city was bedecked like a bride. The Chief Minister was weighed against coconuts, fruits, laddoos and satrangi sweets at a number of places.

The welcome address was delivered by MARKFED Chairman Shri Ramakant Bhargava. Revenue Minister and in-charge of district Shri Rampal Singh, Sohagpur MLA Shri Vijay Pal Singh, Zila Panchayat Chairman Shri Dharmendra Singh Chouhan, former MLA Shri Rajendra Singh, Shri Guru Prasad Sharma, Shri Raghunath Singh Bhati, Nagar Parishad Chairperson Smt. Chandrakala Mehra, Baktara Mandi Chairman Shri Balwan Singh, other public representatives and large number of people were present on the occasion.
