5349 nominations filed for second and third phase

Bhopal: According to information received so far, 5349 nominations have been filed for the second and third phases of Panchayat elections 2014-15. As many as 105 nominations for Zila Panchayat members have been received including 52 males and 53 females. Number of Janpad Panchayat member’s nominations is 778 including 407 males and 371 females. As many as 3172 nominations have been filed for sarpanch including 1668 males and 1504 females. In all, 1294 candidates have filed nominations for election of panch including 784 males and 510 females.

January 7, 2015 is the last date for filing nominations, which will be scrutinised on January 8. January 10 is the last date for withdrawal of candidature. Detailed information is available on commission’s website www.mplocalelection.gov.in.
