Sri Lankan Navindu Pahasara teenager hits seven sixes in an over

Mumbai: Sri Lankan teenager Navindu Pahasara took the cricket fraternity by storm as he slammed seven sixes in an over in the inaugural U-15 Murali Goodness Cup. What made the feat all the more special, is the fact that Pahasara showed his skills in front of Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan.
In the final match of the tournament at Hikkaduwa Sri Sumangala MCC Lords on Saturday on December 9, Pahasara entertained the spectators with some breathtaking strokes as he smashed the ball all over the park.
Playing for Revata College Balapitiya, Pahasara came to bat at number three and went on to score 109 runs off 87 balls. En route his century, Pahasara clobbered seven consecutive sixes in an over to help his team posting a formidable total of 283 for 7 in 36 overs. One six came off the no ball in the same over. Muralitharan, who himself sponsored the entire event, was full of praise for Pahasara and he wished him for his bright future.
