Women came forward empowered in every field and created a different identity: CM Chouhan

Bhoomi Poojan of many construction and development works costing Rs 41 crore in Jontala

Chief Minister  Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that women have become empowered and self-dependent in every field through several schemes for women empowerment in the state and have created a distinct identity. Daughters have got respect in the society through Ladli Laxmi Yojana. Poor parents are freed from the worry of daughters’ marriage. He said that the Mukhyamantri Ladli Behna Yojana would bring a historic change in the lives of sisters and strengthen them further. The Chief Minister was addressing the Bhoomi-Pujan program of development and construction works at Jontala in Sehore district.

Chief Minister  Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of the construction work of 10 roads, a boundary wall and a welcome gate to be constructed at a cost of Rs 41 crore 16 lakh here. Also distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes.

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that 50 percent reservation for women in local body elections has brought a big change. The state government has made a provision of 50 percent reservation for women in the recruitment of teachers and 30 percent in the police. He said that under the Ladli Bahna Yojana started for the empowerment of women in the state, women will be able to fulfill their many needs with Rs 1000 per month. He said that from the month of June, an amount of Rs 1000 per month will be deposited in the accounts of one crore 25 lakh sisters of the state.

Chief Minister Chouhan said that several schemes have been formulated and implemented in the state for the development of agriculture and the welfare of farmers, as a result of which not only has the income of the farmers increased, but their standard of living has also changed. Today, due to the availability of irrigation facilities, the farmer brothers are taking crops throughout the year. He said that water will be brought from Narmada river for irrigation in Jontala also. Like last year, the state government will purchase moong from the farmer brothers this year too. He said that the process of registration of farmers for the purchase of moong should be done in a better way, so that farmers do not face any kind of problem in selling moong and middlemen and traders are not able to take advantage of the farmers’ crops.

 

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that the talented children of poor parents should not be deprived of education, for this the state government is paying the full fees of medical, engineering and IIM students. Along with this, Mama coaching classes are also being run in Budhni for the preparation of government jobs exams.

Chief Minister  Chouhan said that all the villagers should work together for the development of Jontala. Community hall and gymnasium will be built in Jontala and beautification of the pond will also be done. He instructed the officials to conduct a survey of the damages caused by the hailstorm in Basgahan.

 

Chief inister  Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of upgradation of Jontala to Baktra road worth Rs 4.6 crore and construction work of Jontala-Khandawar-Sultan Nagar road worth Rs 5.74 crore in Jontala. Other  completed construction work were Amon Basgahan Road to Gadar PMGSY Road worth Rs 1 crore, Machwai to Gondakheda road worth Rs 4.36 cror, Khabada to Khoha road worth Rs 3 46 crore, Isharpur M-5 to Hoda Canal road worth Rs 1.50 crore, Bhumi-pujan of Murari to Hoda Marg worth Rs 3. 29 crore and Siyaghan to Kosmi Marg worth Rs 2. 21 crore was done.

In Jontala, Sagpur to Khitwai road costing           Rs 5.39 crore,  Narayanpur to Bisakhedi plot road costing Rs 1.15 crore, Baktra to Kutnasir road costing Rs 2.98 crore and Baktra main road costing Rs 4.85 crore. Performed Bhumi Pujan for the construction work of Pathrai Marg. Along with this, bhoomi-pujan was done for the boundary wall construction work of sports ground of Sardarnagar village worth Rs 55 lakh.
