Transport Minister suspends DTO for dereliction in duty

Bhopal. Transport Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh has suspended Rajgarh District Transport Officer Shri Suryakant Tripathi for dereliction in duty.

It is noteworthy that 2 persons including a child had died in a passenger bus accident in Rajgarh district on Tuesday. On finding negligence in filing FIR and other field work, the Minister directed to suspend the DTO with immediate effects. On the Minister’s directive, the department has decided to conduct an enquiry against the DTO by an officer of Additional Commissioner rank. It may be mentioned that during a recent review meeting of departmental officers, the Minister had given clear-cut instructions not to make any compromise with any passenger safety.
