CM, Wife Get Threat Letter
Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and his wife Sadhna Singh have received a threat letter, said police on Thursday.
Police said that the letter warns the two of dire consequences if the services of contract teachers in the state are not made permanent.
“Though we believe that it is an act of a mischief monger, a case has been registered in Shyamla Hills police station here in this regard,” they said.
The letter, which was written by the unnamed head of ‘Naxalwadi Sanghthan’ Balagat reached Chief Minister’s residence nearly two months ago and was subsequently forwarded to the police headquarters for probe.
The letter also mentions the role played by government employees in ousting the then Chief Minister Digvijay Singh from power after he refused to entertain their demands.
