Those not giving maintenance allowance to parents to be punished: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the top priority of the government is to ensure prosperity of poorest of the poor in society. He said that the state has scaled new heights of progress, but much more has still to be done, which the government will accomplish in any case. Shri Chouhan was addressing a condolence meeting of late Shri Sunil Nayak at Prithvipur, Nayakhera in Tikamgarh today.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the people who do not give maintenance allowance to their parents despite being capable will have to go to jail. He said that like Shravan Kumar, he is ensuring pilgrimage of senior citizens whose children are not capable for doing so. He said that his government will continue to work towards welfare of the poor, destitutes, backwards and weaker sections of society in the same manner.
Van Sunara Project to bring about prosperity in region: Shri Chouhan said that his government has implemented a number of schemes to ensure farmers’ welfare. He said that irrigation facilities are being increased constantly so that farmers can get better yield and earn more profit. He said that Van Sunara Project will bring about prosperity in the region.
Government to take guarantee of children’s education: The Chief Minister said that now loan will be extended at zero percent interest rate for education of talented students. He said that education loan at zero percent interest rate will be provided to the students selected for technical and higher education. The government will also give guarantee against loan.
Late Shri Nayak’s dreams will be fulfilled: Paying tributes to late Shri Sunil Nayak, Shri Chouhan said that the State Government will fulfil his dreams. He said that it is now our duty to fulfil the dreams seen by late Shri Nayak for the region’s development. He said that Shri Nayak’s martyrdom will not go waste. Minister in-charge of district Shri Jayant Malaiya, Agriculture Minister Dr. Ramkrishna Kusmaria, Tribal Welfare Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Minister of State for Scheduled Castes Welfare Shri Harishankar Khatik, Member of Parliament Dr. Virendra Kumar, MLA Shri Ajay Yadav, Smt. Anita Nayak, Shri Jagdish Sharan Nayak, people’s representatives, officers and local people were present on the occasion.
