Mannu Sharma dishonoring his parole
NEW DELHI: In murder case of Jessica Lall, Manu Sharma serving life imprisonment. However he has a history of misusing parole conditions. He was forced to return to jail two years ago following public outcry after he was found partying on parole.
The controversy surrounding Manu Sharma’s parole ended with a dramatic surrender two years ago, the 34-year-old convict in the murder case, voluntarily returned to Tihar 12 days before his parole was to end.
Though Sharma cited personal reasons, it was more than clear that he acted after the Delhi government asked for a police report on whether Manu Sharma was indeed partying in the capital’s clubs while on parole.
Delhi Police spokesperson said, Rajan Bhagat, “We have submitted a report to the Delhi government and Manu Sharma was present inside the pub.”
This was also admitted by actor Arjun Rampal, the owner of LAP lounge in Samrat Hotel.
According to police sources, Manu and his friend Sahil Dhingra had misbehaved with a girl and intimidated people at F Bar in the Ashoka Hotel. But by the time police arrived at the club, Manu sharma had allegedly escape.
