Martyr Karnveer Singh brought laurels to State

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the martyr Karnveer Singh of Daldal village has brought laurels not only to the State but also to the country. On his birthday, Karnveer Singh shot down two terrorists while serving Mother India. By laying down his life in this struggle, Karnveer Singh has become immortal. Chouhan on Friday paid homage to Amar Shaheed Karnveer Singh, who sacrificed his life while fighting terrorists. Chouhan met the family members of the martyr and consoled them. Karnaveer Singh was cremated with full military and state honors.

Chouhan said that a Samman Nidhi of Rs one crore would be presented to the family of the martyr. His brother Shakti Singh will be given a Government job. The martyr’s statue will be installed in Daldal village to make his memories unforgettable. With the consent of his family members, an institution will be named after Karanveer Singh. On behalf of eight and a half crore people of Madhya Pradesh, I bow at the feet of the martyr. His family is now the family of the entire state.

Blessed is the land of Daldal village, which gave birth to such a martyr. “I also salute retired Major Ravi Pratap Singh, father of martyr Karanveer Singh and mother Mithilesh Singh His family is most revered for all of us. His father is so proud of his son’s martyrdom that not even a drop of tear fell from his eyes. He says, ‘If I had ten sons, I would have sacrificed all on Mother India.I salute such a patriotic family’”, CM Chouhan said.

Karnveer Singh, a resident of Daldal in Satna district, was serving in the 21st Rajput Regiment of the Indian Army. He was martyred in a clash with terrorists in Shopian in Kashmir. His body was brought to Delhi and Prayagraj in a special aircraft. From Prayagraj, he was brought to his home village by road with full military honors.

The last rites of Shaheed Shri Karanveer Singh were performed in the Gram Panchayat premises. Thousands of people bid a tearful farewell to the son of India Karanvir Singh while raising slogans of “Bharat Mata ki Jai.”
