State Cong Spokesman Says He Received ‘Death’ Threat

State Congress spokesman KK Mishra has said that he got a ‘death’ threat warning him not to come in the way of Industries and IT Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and his close associate and MLA Ramesh Mendola, said media reports.

He said that he received the threat letter from unidentified persons on April 23 at the PCC, reports said.

Mishra said that the letter said that his fate would be worse than ex-BJP minister Laxman Singh Gaud who died in a road mishap in February 2008, said reports.

He said that treated the matter lightly and a day later two youths went to his house in Indore and pretended to have brought an urgent message from his son Abhishek, reports said.

However, when his wife spoke to Abhishek, he denied having sent any urgent message and the two youths ran away, reports said quoting Mishra.

Mishra said that then someone rang up his house in Indore informing that his son had died in a road mishap, said reports.

He said that the call was clearly hoax as his son was at home at the time and sleeping, reports said.

Mishra said that he has however, not sought any police protection and had told Madhya Pradesh DGP, S K Raut about the letter and subsequent incidents.
