iPhone SE 2 with A13 bionic chipset to launch in 2020, says analyst

Apple could be launching the iPhone SE 2 during the first quarter of 2020 and could be priced starting from $399. This information comes courtesy of the latest report from noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo has also talked about the expected specs of the probable “iPhone SE 2”, according to the latest research note which was obtained by MacRumors. The new iPhone SE 2 has been tipped to get the latest A13 bionic chipset which currently powers the iPhone 11 series. The SE 2 will feature 3GB of LPDDR4X RAM and will get internal storage options of 64GB and 128GB. The phone has been touted to be available in Space Gray, Silver, and Red colour options. Just like the iPhone 11 series, the SE 2 will not feature 3D Touch.

The design will be similar to the older iPhone 8. The iPhone 8 was launched back in 2017 alongside the iPhone X and carried a similar form factor to the iPhone 6/6S/7 models. The iPhone 8 featured a glass rear panel as compared to the metal frame of the iPhone 6/6S/7.

The latest iPhone in the market – the iPhone 11 was launched at a keynote event back on September 10. The iPhones went on sale from September 27 priced at a starting figure of Rs 64,900, iPhone 11 Pro for a starting price of Rs 99,900, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max at a starting price of Rs 1,09,900. The iPhone 11 sets a new design change when it comes to the back panel which now features multiple cameras – two sensors for the iPhone 11, and three sensors on the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

In terms of specs, all three iPhones feature the latest A13 Bionic chipset but the main attraction would be the iPhone 11 Pro and the iPhone 11 Pro Max and will feature Super Retina displays with Pro Max getting a 6.5-inch panel and the Pro model getting a 5.8-inch display.
Both the phones will be powered by Apple’s latest A13 Bionic chipset. The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max have been claimed by Apple to offer 4 and 5 hours of extra battery life and will come with 18W fast chargers in the box.

Both the phones will get the same camera set-up that will feature a 12-megapixel lens three-camera set-up. These will include a new wide-angle camera with an f/1.8 lens paired to a telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and an ultrawide lens 120-degree field of view.
