Sampoorn Swasthya Sabke Liye Yojna launched

BHOPAL: Government will be launching “Sampoorn Swasthya Sabke Liye Yojna” (Complete health for all). The Plan of the scheme was chalked out by Public Health and Family Welfare Department in a meeting attended by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Narottam Mishra. They discussed various aspects of the scheme and gave necessary instructions for its implementation.

The scheme will be chalked by taking village as the axis and the aim of the scheme is to make total health security available to BPL families in both rural and urban areas. Under the scheme a cluster of 6-8 villages will be made and a Doctor and health employee will be appointed who will be made accountable for this.

The scheme will be implemented in all 54 thousand villages of state. Apart from this GPS system will also be provided in 2000 mobile health units. About 1120 health centers will be strengthened to function round the clock.

To take health services to village level a 90 day plan was chalked out in the state. The government will appoint an USHA worker for every 5000 population in urban slums. To implement the scheme 6 thousand ASHA workers will be recruited in the state.
