Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Veerangana Rani Avanti Bai is pride of the country. She sacrificed everything for the country. The Chief Minister garlanded her statue at Mata Mandir crossing and paid tributes to her on her birth anniversary.

The Chief Minister said that Rani Avanti Bai did not accept shackles of slavery and fought against the British till her last breath.. Her sacrifice will always be remembered. MP Shri Mukesh Rajput, MLAs Shri Vishwas Sarang, Shri Kok Singh Narwaria, other public representatives and people were also present.
