Raksha Bandhan reminds women empowerment: CM
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said that the Raksha Bandhan festival shows our commitment for security and honour of women and makes us aware for women empowerment.
While greeting people on Raksha Bandhan, in a tweet he said “it is a festival of love and trust between brother and sisters. It strengthens the commitment of brothers to protect sisters from odd circumstances and also reminds about our glorious tradition”.
Earlier, in the morning women Congress leaders, including Rajya Sabha member Chhaya Verma and Chairman, Chhattisgarh Woman’s Commission, Kiranmayi Nayak tied Rakhi to him at his official residence.
Students of a premier government-run educational institution- Prayas, tied Rakhi to Baghel who is all set to celebrate his 60th birthday on Monday, August 23.
