Rahul not a leader but a ‘misleader’: Shivraj

Launching a tirade against Congress president Rahul Gandhi, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan called him a ‘misleader’.

Since Rahul is engaged in misleading the people, hence he can’t be called a leader but can only be a misleader, said Chauhan on Wednesday while inaugurating the BJP office in Puri ahead of elections.

He criticized Rahul for seeking proofs of India’s airstrikes in Pakistan and talking a tone of the neighbouring country. Chauhan also took a potshot at Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for not able to speak Odia language.

Chauhan said that it is a shame that a Chief Minister is unable to speak language of his State. He also raised issues of rising atrocities on women and girls in Odisha.

Besides MP nominee Dr Sambit Patra, five MLA candidates of the district and hundreds of cadres were present in the inauguration of the office meant for the election. In presence of Chauhan, hundreds of BJD workers from Talajanga area under Sadar block joined the saffron brigade here.

Chauhan said that MP has controlled sexual assault against women and girls considerably after a stringent law like death penalty to culprits within 20 days of the occurrence was brought there. Requesting party workers here to work day in and day out to bring Modi back to power again, Chauhan took heavily on the Mahagathabandhan formed by opposition parties and called them Thakbandhan (union of cheats).
