AI flight makes emergency landing at Pak

New Delhi. An Air India flight from Abu Dhabi to New Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing at the Nawabshah airport in the Sindh province of Pakistan after the aircraft reportedly developed a technical problem.
According to reports from Pakistan, all 122 passengers on board the aircraft, which was travelling from Abu Dhabi to New Delhi, were safe.
As per unconfirmed reports, all three hydraulic systems of the Airbus 319 had failed- one of the rarest of rare incidents in modern jets like the A-320 family of jets – forcing the pilot to land the plane manually.

All 130 passengers and the crew are safe and are inside the aircraft. The stranded passengers were offered lounge facilities by the airport officials but the pilot decided against de-boarding, apparently over security concerns. Moreover, the facilities available at the airport are also limited.

The airline is sending another aircraft at 10.30 am today from Delhi to pick up the 130 passengers on board and bring them to India. A team of Air India engineers is also expected to travel to Pakistan to check the airworthiness of the plane.
