Happiness Department to obtain guidance of saints and seers by holding workshop

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed to invite and obtain guidance of saints and seers in the workshop to be held by Happiness Department next month. The Chief Minister directed this while reviewing departmental activities here today. The meeting was informed that activities of Happiness Department will be held through State Happiness Institute.

The Chief Minister said that along with education, health and employment, basic amenities should also be included in activities of Happiness Department. In the departments Vision Document, philosophies, activities and indices of concept of happiness should be included. Brainstorming should be held as to what more changes to ensure happiness can be effected in schemes like ‘Maa Tujhe Pranam’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Tirth-Darshan Yojana’. Schemes pertaining to activities like culture, literature and sports should be chalked out for attainment of happiness. For this, positive changes can be made in syllabus. It should be ensured that Yoga activities being held by various departments should be uniform.

The meeting was informed that various departments will be trained regarding concept of happiness. For Yoga training, School Education Department will set up Yoga Training Centres in 7 divisions. Sports Department has chalked out a scheme to set up Yoga and Sports Training Centres at development block headquarters. Higher Education Department will introduce syllabus pertaining to Yoga and sports. It was suggested during the meeting to set up Wellness Centres for Ayurveda, Yoga and spiritualism on the banks of Narmada river.

Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, ACS School Education, Shri S.R. Mohanthy, Principal Secretary to CM Shri Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Culture Shri Manoj Shrivastava, Principal Secretary Higher Education Shri Ashish Upadhyay, Secretary Sports & Youth Welfare Shri Sachin Sinha and Director Sports & Youth Welfare Shri Upendra Jain attended the meeting.
