Over 13K active Covid cases in C’garh, 1,115 fresh cases
With 1,115 fresh cases detected on Sunday, the total number of Covid-19 active cases found so far has exceeded 13,000 in Chhattisgarh.
Also, 485 patients were discharged from hospitals after their recovery while seven Covid-19 patients died, pushing the total fatalities to 299, Health Department officials said in their daily report.
Of the 1,115 new cases, 518 were from Raipur, a hotspot for Covid infection in Chhattisgarh.
A 54-year-old Covid positive man from Harshit Nagar in Raipur was admitted in Dr BR Ambedkar Memorial Hospital in Raipur on August 29. He died on Sunday.
A 54-year-old woman from Kumar Para in Raipur was admitted in the Ambedkar Hospital after testing Covid positive and with breathlessness on August 28. She died on Sunday, the report said.
A 50-year-old man from Changorabhata in Raipur was admitted in the Ambedkar Hospital on August 26 with breathlessness. He was detected Covid positive and died on Saturday after Covid pneumonia.
A 52-year-old man from Kushalpur in Raipur was admitted in the Ambedkar Hospital on August 25 after testing Covid positive. He died on Sunday.
A 59-year-old man from Bilaspur who had fever and breathlessness was admitted to AIIMS Raipur on August 26. He was detected Covid positive and died on Sunday, the report said.
An 85-year-old Covid positive man from Bhilai was admitted in the Ambedkar Hospital on August 24. He died of Coivd pneumonia on Sunday.
A 41-year-old Covid positive woman from Pandri in Raipur was admitted in the Ambedkar Hospital on August 25. She died the same day, the report said.
So far 29,861 persons have been detected corona positive in Chhattisgarh while 16,303 have been discharged from hospitals. Currently, there are 13,289 active cases in the State.
