Not only Rewa, entire Vindhya and Baghelkhand ready to take flight for development: MP CM Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Vindhya and Baghelkhand are ready for development today. The years old dream of Vindhya region is going to come true today. For this, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and thanked Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, whose efforts started the construction of the airport in Rewa. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the Women’s Conference after laying the foundation stone of Chorhata Airport in Rewa.

Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan and inaugurated 32 development works costing Rs 747 crore. This includes groundbreaking ceremony of 17 works worth Rs 603 crore and inauguration of 15 development works worth Rs 144 crore. 

The Chief Minister distributed benefits to the beneficiaries of various schemes. Chouhan also unveiled the development booklet of Rewa district and the logo of the “Rewa Chalo” campaign being run for industrial investment.

Chouhan said that after the opening of the airport, Vindhya region will touch new heights of development. There is already a network of roads in the area. There are immense possibilities for industry in Vindhya and new employment opportunities are also there. The Chief Minister said that investment proposals worth Rs 2 lakh 88 thousand crore have been received for the Vindhya region, the highest after Indore in the recently concluded investor meet in Indore. This is a great gift not only for Rewa but for the entire Vindhya region. This investment will provide employment opportunities to more than one lakh 50 thousand people of the region. Announcing the construction of “Vindhya Expressway”, Chouhan said that this expressway will be built from Bhopal to Singrauli via Sagar, Damoh, Satna, Rewa, Sidhi. Industrial area will be developed on both its sides, which will provide employment to the youth.

Chouhan said that our government has gifted the biggest solar plant and Bansagar Dam to Vindhya. Now the farmer of Vindhya will leave Punjab behind in crop production. The work of making a tunnel in Sleemanabad to take the water of Narmada Maiya to Vindhya region is going on. Self. Madhavrao Scindia had given the gift of railways. The work of Lalitpur Singrauli railway line is being done at a fast pace. Now his son Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has gifted the airport to Rewa. He said that under the Chief Minister Teerth Darshan Yojana, the pilgrims will now be made to travel by aeroplane.

Chouhan congratulated the sisters participating in the women’s conference. The women presented Rakhi gifts and cards of thanks to the Chief Minister. Overwhelmed by the welcome of women, Chouhan said that where women are respected, the deities reside there. Women empowerment has been given priority in the major schemes of our government. If the woman is strong then the family, The society and the country will also be empowered. Ladli Laxmi Yojana has given huge opportunities to empower women. Now the Ladli Bahna scheme is being started. In this, an amount of one thousand rupees will be given to the sister every month. The applications for the scheme will be registered from March 5. Officers will register the applications of women by setting up camps in all the wards of village and urban areas. Sisters will be given Rs 1000 per month in their bank accounts from the month of June. The scheme will increase love in the family and increase economic self-reliance of women. Today, taking the oath of the rakhi tied to me by the sisters, I say that I will not rest till I make every sister empowered.

Chouhan said that 23 thousand acres of land has been freed from goons and mafias, which will be given to the poor. Residential land pattas will be given to all houseless families. On which their houses will be built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. This year, one lakh 14 thousand government posts are being recruited. Employment opportunities are also being provided through industry and self-employment schemes.
