No severe cold for a week in MP: There will be fog for 3 to 4 days; No rain and hail forecast

There will be no severe cold in Madhya Pradesh for the next one week. This will happen due to the existing system and the Western Disturbance which has been active since January 16. However, there is no forecast of rain or hail during this period, but the days will remain cold. On Friday, there was fog in half the state including Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Jabalpur.

Dr. Vedprakash Singh, Senior Scientist of IMD Bhopal said that due to Western Disturbance, dense fog is prevailing in the state for the last few days. Right now Western Disturbance is around Afghanistan-Iran. Because of this the wind pattern has changed. There is cyclone activity around Rajasthan. Due to these reasons, there will be fog for the next 3 to 4 days. After this, there may be some drop in night temperature, but another western disturbance is expected to be active from January 16. Due to this the night temperature will not drop much.

In Raisen, on Friday morning, amidst fog, school children reached the stadium for Surya Namaskar. Here people were seen taking morning walks in the cold.

Cold effect only after the system passes

According to meteorologists, only after the system passes, the night temperature will drop and the cold will have an impact. However, the days will remain cold. The temperature in most cities will remain around 25 degrees.

Light to moderate fog: In Ujjain district. Visibility can range between 200 to 800 meters.

Moderate to dense fog: Indore, Jabalpur, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Gwalior and Datia districts along with Bhopal, Satna, Sagar and Chambal divisions. Visibility here is expected to be 50 to 500 meters.

Increase in day temperature again

On Thursday, an increase in day temperature was seen in most of the cities of the state. Talking about big cities, the temperature in Jabalpur increased by 6.5 degrees to 24 degrees. The temperature increased by 6 degrees in Bhopal. The temperature here on Thursday was recorded at 23.9 degrees. The temperature in Indore was recorded at 25 degrees after increasing by 2 degrees. The mercury was recorded at 20.8 degrees Celsius in Gwalior and 22.2 degrees Celsius in Ujjain.

Narmadapuram is the coldest, Chhindwara has the coldest.

Narmadapuram was the coldest on Thursday. The day temperature here was recorded at 21.5 degrees. The day temperature was less than 25 degrees in Khajuraho, Ratlam, Pachmarhi, Raisen, Rewa, Tikamgarh, Naugaon, Khandwa, Sidhi, Shajapur, Seoni, Malajkhand, Satna, Dhar, Damoh, Sagar and Umaria. The highest temperature reached 34 degrees in Chhindwara. In Chhindwara the temperature increased by 6.8 degrees in a single day. In Satna, the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.3 degrees with an increase of 7.1 degrees.
