MP Names Committee to Steer Conservation beyond Protected Areas
Bhopal — Madhya Pradesh state government has constituted a steering committee to protect its natural resources outside designated protected areas.
The committee will drive the ‘Natural resources conservation outside the protected areas’ – a project the state government runs with assistance from the UNDP.
While the Chief Conservator of Forests Wildlife has been named chairperson of the committee, other members include representatives of the state government, Forest, Finance, Revenue departments and UNDP.
Forest Conservator Wildlife Co-Project Coordinator will serve the committee as its member-secretary.
