Mineral revenue increased constantly in MP during last 9 years

Bhopal: Revenue Department is making constant efforts to increase revenue from minerals by ensuring action under provisions of rules for exploiting minerals in the state. Revenue from minerals has increased constantly in the state during the last 9 years. It was 679.30 crore during year 2003-04, which has increased to 2915.83 crore in year 2012-13. Revenue has increased by Rs. 2236.53 crore, which is about 329 percent more compared to year 2003-04.

A number of achievements have been registered in mineral revenue collection during last 9 years. Compared to fixed target of Rs. 710.32 crore in year 2004-05, Rs. 748.95 crore was collected, in year 2005-06 Rs. 819.46 crore against Rs. 815.31 crore, in year 2006-07 Rs. 923.91 crore against Rs. 900 crore, in 2007-08 Rs. 1125.39 crore against Rs. 1080 crore, in 2008-09 Rs, 1361.08 crore against Rs. 1235.00 crore, in year 2009-10 Rs. 1590.46 crore against Rs. 1566 crore, in year 2010-11 Rs. 2121.49 crore against 1725 crore, in year 2011-12 Rs. Rs. 3115.93 crore against Rs. 2700 crore and revenue worth Rs. 2915.83 crore revenue has been collected against the target of Rs. 2800 crore during year 2012-13.
