Madhya Pradesh on top in implementation of e-district

Bhopal: Preparations are underway in the state to take one step ahead of delivery of government services to people within prescribed time-limit so that government schemes’s benefit can be extended to applicant on the basis of self-declaration. If information given in self-declaration are found wrong, applicant be sent to jail and fined. A prototype of the scheme was presented through a presentation at the general body meeting of State Public Service Agency here today.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Transport and Information Technology Minister Shri Bhupendra Singh, Revenue and Rehabilitation Minister Shri Rampal Singh, Minister of State for General Administration Shri Lal Singh Arya and Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa were present on the occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that public service processes of the government will be simplified further. Compensation should not be delayed. Applicant in late delivery of service should be provided compensation immediately. Performance of public service centres should be reviewed strictly. Centre directors should be sent to jail on committing irregularities.
The meeting was informed that services given under e-district in Madhya Pradesh have been notified. Thus, Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country whose e-district schemes have been endorsed by the Central government. Government of India has notified 20 online services whereas Madhya Pradesh has notified 47 services.
The meeting was informed that one crore 6 lakh 24 thousand 95 application for delivery of public services have been received through public service centres. Impact study of 240 out of 334 centres has been conducted once a year and 56 twice a year.
Additional Chief Secretary Finance Shri Ajay Nath, Principal Secretary Industries Shri Mohammad Sulaiman, Principal Secretary Shri S.K. Mishra, Secretary Information Technology Shri Hari Ranjan Rao and senior officers were present on the occasion.
