Preparations completed at Ramlila ground for Baba Ramdev’s protest
NEW DELHI: On Thursday just after a day, yoga guru Baba Ramdev rejected the government’s plea to cancel his fast, preparations are being completed with final touches on Ramlila ground.
Around 250 labourers were giving final touches at the protest site. The 2.5 lakh square metre waterproof marquee has been erected and massive cut-outs of Ramdev have been put up.
Baba Ramdev’s spokesperson Jaideep Arya said, the ground had been booked for a month since the yoga guru would be on indefinite hunger strike against corruption and to demand that the government bring back black money hidden by Indians outside.
On Saturday when Baba launches his hunger strike it is expected that the followers of Baba Ramdev filled the Ramlila ground.
Ramdev whose following far exceeds Hazare’s, reached the capital around noon on Wednesday and met four union ministers.
Rejecting the government’s pleas, the yoga guru vowed to go ahead with his hunger strike.
