Rajnandgaon old district hospital to function: CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bahgel on Tuesday assured a delegation led by Rajnandgaon Mayor that the old district hospital of Rajnandgaon will continue to extend health and medical services.
Rajnandgaon Mayor Hema Sudesh Deshmukh and others called on Baghel on Tuesday here, an official communication said.
The Mayor said district hospital is situated in the middle of the city and is easily accessible to residents. Now it is being transferred to the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Memorial Government Medical College at Pendri. Most medical staff and equipment are being shifted there.
The delegation urged the Chief Minister to halt this process by retaining the old district hospital on a functional status. Baghel assured the delegation that status quo will be maintained.
