FIR does nothing, withdraw complaint said Dindori police in gangrape of minor

A case of gang rape of a minor in a moving car has come to light in Dindori. All four accused are residents of the minor’s village. The car belongs to a teacher. His son is also included among the accused. The matter is of Bajag police station area. Bajag police did not register the complaint for four days.

The minor’s father alleges that the police advised him to withdraw complqint and sent him back from the police station and said- Nothing will happen by filing FIR. After this, he took her daughter to Mahila police station and AJAK police station, only then a case was registered on November 19.

ASP Jagannath Markam said that the police has arrested an accused on November 21. The car has also been confiscated. The search for three other accused is ongoing. The minor’s father alleges that he had gone to Bajag police station with his daughter to lodge a complaint. The police did not register a complaint for four days.

The minor’s father told that this incident took place on November 15. At around 5.30 in the evening, the victim was going on a bicycle with her sister and her uncle’s son to watch the Birsamunda Jayanti program in another locality of the village. Meanwhile, four youths from the village came to her in a car on the way. They stopped the car and asked where she was going. When the daughter told about going to the program, the boys made both the daughters sit in the car and promised to take them. The accused did not stop the vehicle at the venue and took towards Dongri forest.

When the minor objected to being taken towards the forest, the accused locked the car and started playing songs loudly. He raped the minor in the back seat of a moving car. One and a half hour later, at around seven in the evening, both of them left the daughters near the house and ran away. The minor informed his family about the incident. In this matter, the police have registered a case against the four accused Ankit Manikpuri, Ravi Manikpuri, Omprakash Yadav and Pushpendra Yadav and are investigating. Ankit Manikpuri has been arrested. Ankit is married.
