Ideology of violence, anarchy has no place in our country: Baghel

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said there is no place in the country for ideology of violence and anarchy.

“We will maintain social harmony and equality and will fight together social evils,” he said while addressing the two-day special session of the state assembly on the concluding day on Thursday.

The session was convened to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

The resolution proposed by Chief Minister that Chhattisgarh will march ahead treading on Mahatma Gandhi’s path of public service was passed by a voice vote.

Speaker then adjourned the session sine die. The assembly will again convene for winter session from October 25 to December 6.

Baghel said government will work for the benefit of all categories of people in the state. He said Mahatma Gandhi had bonded the whole country in a spirit of patriotism but the other form of nationalism, which has come from outside, speaks of eliminating opponents, “which will be dangerous for our country.”

He said 2020 will be celebrated in the state as the year of Mahatma Gandhi to commemorate centenary year of Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to Chhattisgarh.
