Every moment to be utilised in making MP number one state in country: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that every moment in the next 5 years will be utilised for making Madhya Pradesh the number one state in the country. Cooperation and participation of all will be needed in it. The Chief Minister said that optimum cooperation will be extended to private sector for opening a medical college at Balaghat. The Chief Minister administered oath to people to give their best contribution in enriching Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing an “Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh” convention at Balaghat today. He also inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 21 construction works costing Rs. 88 crore. He launched sale of rice at Re. 1 per kg under Mukhyamantri Annapurna Yojana.

The Chief Minister said that no stone will be left unturned to make agriculture profitable. The state government will make efforts to increase irrigation potential further to reach out water to every field. He said that shanties of the poor will not be demolished. They will be given pattas.

Shri Chouhan inspected new collectorate building of Balaghat constructed at a cost of Rs. 10 crore. The Chief Minister laid foundation stone for Rs. 10 crore building of Krishi Upaj Mandi.

The Chief Minister laid foundation stone for renovation of Dada B. Malik Auditorium at Deendayal Puram at Balaghat. He unveiled a life-size statue of Veerangana Rani Durgawati at Rani Durgawati Chowk. He also unveiled statues of Amar Shaheed Sardar Bhagat Singh at district hospital and Raja Bhoj at Moti Talab. Shri Chouhan inaugurated a park in memory of Shri Ramabapu who had donated land for the reservoir in year 1875.

Agriculture Minister Shri Gaurishankar Bisen said that state government has given agriculture university to Balaghat. This year, Rs. 43 crore has been provisioned for the university. The Agriculture Minister informed that as per wish of Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Rs. 25 lakh will be given for construction of Kisan Bhavan at Balaghat. He underlined need to open a medical college with cooperation of private sector informing that land for it has been identified.

MP Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Farmers’ Welfare and Agriculture Development Minister Shri Gaurishankar Bisen, Minister of State for Family Welfare and Health Shri Sharad Jain, MLAs, public representatives and large number of people were present on the occasion.
