Now, 24X7 power supply in 28th district Satna from June 3

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will launch 24X7 power supply in 28th district Satna at BTI Ground, Satna on June 3 at 12 noon. On the occasion, a consumer awareness and panchayat convention will also be held. Under the scheme, 24-hour power supply has already been ensured in 27 districts including Jabalpur, Mandla, Shahdol, Anuppur, Umaria, Burhanpur, Bhopal, Balaghat, Ratlam, Dhar, Alirajpur, Sheopur, Panna, Mandsaur, Rewa, Hoshangabad, Rajgarh, Ujjain, Shivpuri, Khandwa, Harda, Betul, Khargone, Singrauli, Neemuch, Shajapur and Tikamgarh districts.
Public Works Minister Shri Nagendra Singh, Energy Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla and MP Shri Ganesh Singh will be special guests on the occasion. MLAs Shri Jugal Kishore Bagri, Shri Shankarlal Tiwari, Shri Mohanlal Tiwari, Surendra Singh Gaharwar, Shri Ramkhelawan Patel and Shri Ramlakhan Singh, Zila Panchayat President Shri Gaganedra Pratap Singh and Satna Mayor Shri Pushakar Singh Tomar will also be present.
Abhiyan’s implementation in Satna district: Under the progress made in power system in Satna district during last 5 years, 33 KV lines have been laid in 5,489 kilometers and 11 KV low-tension lines in 1173 kilometers. Similarly, 2 power sub-stations of 132/33 KV and 2 of 220 KV have been set up. Capacity of 40 sub-stations of 33/11 KV has been enhanced and 24 new sub-stations have been constructed while 3 sub-stations are under construction. These works have cost Rs. 336 crore 21 lakh. Intensive electrification has been ensured in 1399 villages in the district, 38 unserviced villages have been electrified and free power connections have been given to 43 lakh 989 BPL families.
Schemes implemented under Atal Jyoti Abhiyan: Apart from infrastructure development works costing Rs. 336 crore 21 lakh, separate feeders for agriculture have also been installed in Satna district. In the district, power will be supplied for 24 hours to domestic consumers and 10 hours to agriculture consumers through 100 feeders of 11 KV capacity. The Abhiyan will benefit 22 lakh population of 1811 villages and 5 urban areas in the district. Under the Abhiyan, 135 feeders are being constructed at a cost of Rs. 155 crore 37 lakh, which will benefit 1462 villages. Total 2 lakh 82 thousand 735 consumers will be benefited in the district included 1 lakh 61 thousand 944 domestic, 18 thousand 583 non-domestic, 65 thousand 868 BPL, 32 thousand 282 agriculture pump, 3,193 industrial, 784 others and 81 high-tension consumers.
