There will be redevelopment of the 40 year old commercial complex of the Housing Board located at Bittan Market in the capital Bhopal. The old building will be demolished and a new six-storey building will be built here. This entire project is worth approximately Rs 100 crore.
The special thing about the new building is that it will be self-sufficient in terms of electricity. For this, solar panels will also be installed on the roof of the building. A sewage treatment plant will also be built to clean the dirty sewage water. Security will also be taken full care of in this complex, for this there will be a provision of CCTV on every floor.

There are two buildings in 1.18 acres
Let us tell you, Housing Board has 1.18 acres of land adjacent to Haat Bazaar in Bittan Market. There are two buildings built in it. In which there is NCC office and 26 shops. Of the 26 shops on the ground floor, seven were sold and 19 shops were given on rent. Also the divisional office of the Housing Board is also here. NCC has vacated its office. At the same time, a temporary shop has been built for the shopkeepers. In which they are shifting. The work of demolishing the old building has started. According to board officials, its tender is going to be issued soon.
To shift the shops operating here, 26 temporary shops are being built in the parking space in front. Officials said that 26 new shops will be built on the ground floor. Seven people whose shops in the old building have been sold will be allotted new shops here free of cost, while those who were on rent will be allotted shops after taking the amount of construction cost from them.
There will also be parking arrangements in the commercial complex.
In this complex, a 2 floor basement will be built for parking and there will be a service floor. Along with this, arrangements related to fire safety will be made in the building. There will be all the modern facilities including fire alarm system and water hydrant. Shops will be built on the ground floor and all the remaining floors will be commercial and official spaces. A big hall will be built on the upper floor, in which big events can be organised.
