Enforce law and order fearlessly: R. Parasuram

Bhopal: State Election Commissioner Shri R. Parasuram has directed officers to enforce law and order without fear during urban body and Panchayat elections. He also directed for impartial action. Shri Parasuram reviewed preparations for elections through video-conferencing here today.

Shri Parasuram said that planning for Panchayat elections should also be made from now. He expressed pleasure over distribution of voter slips. Shri Parasuram said that commission should be informed immediately if any incident takes place. He also replied to questions of collectors and commissioners. Shri Parasuram also informed about reserved EVMs.

Additional DGP Law and Order Shri Sarabjit Singh said that process of bound over should be undertaken at the earliest in critical and vulnerable areas. Arms should be got deposited within prescribed time-limit. Warrants should be served promptly. Shri Singh instructed to review communication plan. He said that a portion of force should be reserved at district level, which may be deployed as and when required.

Commissioners, IGs, SPs and other officers were present at video-conferencing.
