Drinking water problem in remote hilly area Chargawan to be solved

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government will extend every possible assistance for overcoming drinking water problem in remote and hilly area Chargawan in Jabalpur district. A sum of Rs. 12 crore will be provided soon for redressing this problem through which 3 small water reservoirs will be constructed. In future, canals will be constructed to supply wat4er from these reservoirs for irrigation. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan made this announcement at greater Antyodaya and Agriculture Science Fair at village Mohla in Bargi area of Jabalpur district today.

The Chief Minister directed to undertake survey of small reservoirs in other villages of the area also. He said that fund crunch will not allowed in this work. Shri Chouhan said that survey will be conducted to bring water from Bargi dam also from tackling grave drinking water crisis. Shri Chouhan also announced to open a new college and hostel in Bargi area.
Shri Chouhan announced to increase tendupatta collection bonus from Rs. 750 to Rs. 950 per standard bag. He said that the Government will provide housing facility to students coming to cities for education. A sum of Rs. 2000 per month will be given in big cities like Jabalpur, Rs.1500 per month in medium towns and Rs. 1000 per month in small towns for giving rent of students’ accommodation.
At the function, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone for Rs. 52 crore development works and gave away benefits to 7 thousand beneficiaries.
Animal Husbandry Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi, MP Shri Rakesh Singh, MLAs Smt. Pratibha Singh and Shri Narendra Tripathi, Zila Panchayat Chairman Shri Bharat Singh Yadav, distinguished local citizens and large number of villagers were present on the occasion.
