CM Shri Chouhan makes several announcements for Vidisha city

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan participated in a number of programmes in Vidisha city today. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was profusely garlanded and showered flower petals by public representatives, distinguished citizens and common people. At Madhavganj programme, the Chief Minister made several announcements for development of Vidisha city.

The Chief Minister said that a new identity of Madhya Pradesh will be carved out in development sector. For this, effective efforts being made to provide jobs to maximum number of youths and ensuring better industrial development and irrigation management. The Chief Minister said that a new board will be constituted in Madhya Pradesh to promote trade.
Shri Chouhan made several announcements at the programme including providing wheat and rice at the rate of Re 1 per kg to poor senior citizens, construction of over-bridge on Khari Phatak,Rs. 15 crore per annum to Vidisha Municipal Corporation under city development plan, Rs. 13 crore for improving sewage system, Rs. 20 crore for accommodations of the urban poor and Rs. 10 crore 75 lakh for construction of 3.25 kg long road in Vidisha city.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also announced construction of new bridges at Rangai Pul and Charan Tirth on Betwa river. He said that Vidisha stadium will be further renovated. He informed that estimate will be prepared for construction of Vidisha medical college. The proposed medical college will have a 750-bed hospital. He announced to develop transport Nagar in Vidisha soon. Shri Chouhan directed to regularise illegal colonies of Vidisha. He said that no shanty will be removed now.

Sadhna Singh, Narsinghpur MLA Shri Jalam Singh Patel, Kurwai MLA Shri Veer Singh Pawar, Shamshabad MLA Shri Suryaprakash Meena, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Sunita Sonkar, former MLAs Shri Gurucharan Singh and Shri Mohar Singh, Vidisha Municipal Corporation Chairperson Smt. Jyoti Shah, other public representatives, officers and distinguished citizens were present on the occasion.
