CM immerses Shri Ganesh’s idol in holy water of Narmada at Prempura Ghat

Bhopal: Idol of Lord Shri Ganesh, which was installed at Chief Minister’s Residence on Ganesh Chaturthi was immersed on Anant Chaturthi with traditional worship and rites. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, his wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, relatives, officers and employees of offices at Chief Minister’s residence were present at Prempura Ghat at the time of immersion.

Amidst chants of “Ganpati Bappa Maurya”, Shri Chouhan performed worship and Arti of idol of Lord Ganesh at immersion ghat. He immersed the idol in the special tank constructed for immersion by Bhopal Municipal Corporation. The tank has been filled with holy water of Narmada river. He also distributed Prasad to devotees.
Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that he has come to give farewell to Lord Ganesh with a heavy heart on the pious occasion. Shri Ganesh is Siddhi Vinayak. He is deity of wisdom. It is appeal to Him not to go anywhere and live in the hearts and houses of Madhya Pradesh and country. He should give us wisdom to serve our country, society and people. He prayed to Lord Ganesh to bless the state and country to move ahead, everyone is prosperous, healthy, youths engage themselves in re-building nation with enthusiasm, there is no lack of jobs, there is good arrangement for education, agriculture become profitable and new industries and businesses are set up.
The Chief Minister said that it is our duty to conserve environment while celebrating festivals. Shri Chouhan congratulated Bhopal Municipal Corporation for this initiative for idol immersion for conserving environment.
