CM congratulates on Disabled Empowerment Award
Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan was informed here today about the National Award received by the state from the Central Government for excellent works towards empowerment of disabled persons. Additional Chief Secretary Social Justice, Panchayats and Rural Development Smt. Aruna Sharma informed him about this award.
The Chief Minister congratulated entire staff of Social Justice Department for this achievement. Government of India’s Ministry for Social Justice and Empowerment decided to confer Best State Award for excellent efforts for empowerment of disabled persons during year 2014 to Madhya Pradesh. The award was given away by President Shri Pranab Mukherjee at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on December 3, 2014.
Government of India selected Gwalior and Indore districts of the state for the award. Besides, Dr. Rohit Trivedi and Sushri Rabia Khan of Madhya Pradesh were also awarded in 2 other categories.
