Patwa terms Jaswant’s Expulsion as Step at Right Time

Former Madhya Pradesh chief minister and senior BJP leader Sunderlal Patwa has described expulsion of Jaswant Singh as a step taken at the right time.

It should be noted that some leaders at the centre have opposed Singh’s expulsion.

Patwa, while talking to reporters at BJP office in Bhopal, said that the decision to expel Singh had been taken at the right time, for he had outlived his utility in the party.

He said that Singh was now a part of history for BJP and there was no need for him to talk about the party.

The former chief minister also opined that it was not politicians’ job to pen a book. He accepted that there might be some problems at the higher level, but they would fail to have any impact on it, because leaders do not matter much, but workers play a key role in the party.

“Only a handful of BJP leaders indulged in issuing statements which may not be good for the party…Sometime these leaders slipped their tongue and this cause confusion,” he said.
