Businessmen’s interests will be safeguarded: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the State Government is committed to safeguarding businessmen’s interests. Business is also a social service since tax paid by businessmen is utilised in development and welfare works.
The Chief Minister was addressing State-level Bhama Shah award ceremony at Gwalior today. Finance and Commercial Taxes Minister Shri Raghavji, Medical Education Minister Shri Anoop Mishra, Public Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, MP and State BJP President Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, MP Smt. Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Mayor Smt. Sameeksha Gupta, other public representatives and businessmen were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister urged business community to come forward for state’s prosperity and development. He said that Madhya Pradesh will be made number one state with the cooperation of all. He assured businessmen that tax paid by them will be used in the best way. He said that he will not allow FDI in retail sector in the state to safeguard interests of small traders and retailers.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government will extend every possible assistance to young businessmen. He said that the government will give 20 percent margin money on Rs. 50 thousand business to young entrepreneurs, five percent loan interest subsidy and guarantee for loan upto Rs. 25 lakh.
Finance & Commercial Taxes Minister Shri Raghavji said that state’s income from commercial taxes has increased to 18 thousand crore from Rs. 3900 crore in nine years. He said that this amount is likely to touch Rs. 20 thousand crore next year. It helps the state in completing development and welfare works. He said that these awards have been instituted to increase collection of taxes in the state.
Commissioner Commercial Taxes Shri Amit Rathore threw light on the programme’s outlines and welcomed the guests. At the function, state-level as well as district-level awards of districts of Gwalior-Chambal division were distributed.
Cash prizes to maximum taxpayers: A cash prize carrying Rs. 5 lakh and certificate of title of Madhya Pradesh’s Bhama Shah is given under the state-level award to the businessmen who deposit maxim tax at the state and district-level and district-level award for every financial year for depositing maximum taxes (VAT, Central taxes and entry tax) is given to registered businessmen. The first prize carries Rs. one lakh, second Rs. 50 thousand and the third Rs. 25 thousand cash.
Honoured businessmen: The State-level Bhama Shah Award for registered businessmen running trade and industry in the state and depositing maximum taxes was conferred to Messrs GAIL India Limited, Vijaypur, Guna. The award for businessmen doing registered trading in the stae (except depots of companies and government undertakings) was bestowed on Messrs Patel Motors, Indore while the award for maximum taxpayers among all registered businessmen was conferred to Messrs. Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Bhopal.
At the district level in Gwalior, the first prize was given to Messrs J.K. Tyres & Industries, second to Messrs Prem Motors Pvt. Ltd. and the third prize was given to Messrs Godrej Consumer Products Ltd. In the same series in Guna district of Gwalior-Chambal division, the first prizes was conferred to Messrs National Fertilisers Limited, second to Messrs K.K. Sales & Service and third to Messrs Gagan Motors. In Ashok Nagar district, the first prize was given to Messrs Mantor Oil Products Limited, second to Messrs Saurabh Industries and the third to Messrs S.R. Tractor. In Shivpuri district, the first prize was given to Messrs Raghuvanshi Enterprises, second to Messrs Shivam Enterprises and third to Messrs Sharda Solvent Limited. In Datia district, the first prize was conferred to Messrs D.S.C. Limited, second to Messrs Sharma Ayuved Mandir and third to Messrs Bharat Vanoshadhi Bhandar.
In Bhind district, the first prize was given to Messrs Montage Enterprises Private Limited, Malanpur, second to Messrs VRS Foods Limited, Malanpur and third prize was given to Messrs Parvati Agency, Bhind. In Morena district, the first prize was conferred to Messrs Gagan Enterprises, second to Messrs Ingi Press Industries and third prize was conferred to Messrs Banmore Foam Limited. In Sheopur district, the first prize was given to Messrs Sharma Cement Agency, Baroda, second to Messrs Swastik Traders and the third prize was given to Messrs Bhomiya Ji Traders, Sheopur.
