Bonsai exhibition in Bhopal

BHOPAL: A three-day Bonsai exhibition going to held in the heart of Incredible India from March 25.

The exhibition being organised at Park No 1 under the auspices of Lake City Bonsai Association, will be inaugurated by Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister Sartaj Singh.

Association’s Chairperson Arundhati Tiwari told reporters here, “A training workshop will also be organised during this period for those interested in Bonsai art.”

The training will be given by Hyderabad-based expert Madhusudan Reddy, Association’s President JS Bindra and Ms Sneh Prasar.

Bindra said Bonsai plants provided good feeling at home besides helping in cleaning environment.

He pointed out that some people believe that Bonsai art actually originated in India. Bonsai can be done on any plant by growing them in pots in a miniature form. Tulsi is one good example of this.

Ms Tiwari informed that the exhibition will showcase Bonsai of foreign countries also such as China and Taiwan. It shows total of 250 entries.
