New Delhi: BJP president Rajnath Singh on Tuesday said that Lalkrishna Advani has agreed to withdraw his resignation from all top posts of the party.

A formal statement in this regard was made by Rajnath Singh at Advani’s residence in New Delhi. “He accepted our request to withdraw his resignation,” he said.
“Mohan Bhagwat (RSS chief) has asked him to accept the Parliamentary Board decision and continue to guide the party. Advanji has accepted Mohan Bhagwatji’s advise,” the party president said.
A Parliamentary Board meeting is likely to be convened soon to address the party’s veteran’s concerns.
The sources say that BJP leadership assured Advani that any decision on prime ministerial candidate would not be taken without his consent.
A formula to resolve the crisis within the saffron party was worked out after top BJP leaders reached out to Advani at his residence in New Delhi.
