Turn School Chalen Ham Abhiyan into mass movement

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that School Chalen Ham Abhiyan is connected with masses. Reiterating to turn it into a mass movement, the Chief Minister urged people to participate in the campaign enthusiastically. The campaign will start from June 16. Collectors will coordinate activities of the campaign in districts. It will be led by public representatives and social workers. This year, the campaign will be dedicated to “teaching quality”.
Discussing outlines of the campaign with collectors and local public representatives through videoconferencing from Mantralaya here today, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that is the key to a prosperous state. Along with government, responsibility of educating every child also lies with society. The campaign will become successful only through cooperation of society. Villages can be adopted with special cooperation of social organisations, industrialists, businessmen and donors.
Shri Chouhan said that no child able to go to school should remain deprived of school education and must complete education upto class X after taking admission in class I. Shri Chouhan said that hostel facility should be specially provided to orphan children.
The Chief Minister said that all people, organisations, public representatives, distinguished citizens and representatives of religions should associate themselves with the campaign as motivators. Every person who is sensitive for making Madhya Pradesh an educated state can become motivator. He said that a convention of motivators will be held at development block level on June 12. Motivators with good performance will be provided certificates. Registration for motivator can be done by giving a miss-call on 0755-2570000. So far, 71 thousand motivators have joined the campaign. They will be imparted training as per campaign’s outlines on June 12. Shri Chouhan said that campaign will be launched throughout the state with Pravesh Utsav on June 16. The Chief Minister said that motivators giving academic cooperation are also welcome. Attention should also be paid to admission of children who need special attention.
The Chief Minister said that Pravesh Utsav will be celebrated with community’s cooperation. Text books will be made available as soon as children take admission. He said that every district can chalk out its strategy for ensuring cent percent admission.
The Chief Minister directed collectors to get started whitewashing, cleanliness and repair works in schools immediately. School land should not be encroached upon in any way.
Food Security Campaign: The Chief Minister informed collectors that apart from School Chalen Ham Abhiyan, Food Security Campaign is also underway in the state. Under it, names of all eligible families will be included in the scheme. For this, their forms will be filled up on June 9. Directing for effective implementation of the campaign, the Chief Minister said that no eligible family should remain deprived. A convention will be held at Janpad level on June 27 to verify eligibility slips issued to families.
The Chief Minister said that drinking water supply must be ensured at any cost including water transportation in the districts from where reports about shortage of water are being received. He said that it is the responsibility of Collectors and Zila Panchayat CEOs lower rank government machinery works effectively. Collectors and Zila Panchayat CEOs will be held responsible for irregularities and corruption at lower level. Benefit of government schemes should reach all eligible persons at the lowest level also. He said that every child should be educated. There is no shortage of budget for this.
The Chief Minister also discussed School Chalen Abhiyan with MLAs of Rewa, Mandsaur, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Neemuch, Indore, Ujjain, Dhar, Shahdol and Tikamgarh. He asked MLAs to convene meetings in their constituencies for seeking people’s cooperation. Extending full cooperation, the MLAs reiterated their resolve to support. Education Minister Shri Paras Chandra Jain, Minister of State for Education Shri Deepak Joshi, Jan-Abhiyan Parishad’s Vice-President Shri Pradeep Pandey, Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa and concerning senior officers were present during video-conferencing.
