Central committee for Simhastha-2016 constituted
Bhopal. The state government has constituted a central committee for Simhastha-2016 under Madhya Bharat Simhastha Mela Act-1955. Order has been issued to constitute committee by overwriting all previous orders issued in this regard through exercise of powers given by the Act.
Shri Makhan Singh has been appointed Chairman of the committee. Its members include Home Minister, Finance Minister, Panchayats and Rural Development Minister, Forest Minister, PWD Minister, , Public Health, Family Welfare and AYUSH Minister, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Protection Minister, Public Health Engineering, Parliamentary Affairs, Religious Trusts & Endowment Minister, School Education Minister, Energy, New & Renewable Energy and Public Relations Minister, Revenue & Rehabilitation Minister, Women & Child Development Minister, Transport Minister, Minister of State for GAD & Urban Development and Administration, Minister of State for Culture & Tourism, MP Shri Chintamani Malviya, MLAs Sarvshri Paras Chandra Jain, Mohan Yadav, Dilip Shekhawat, Bahadur Singh Chouhan, Anil Firojia, Satish Malviya, Mukesh Pandya, Chairman of Simhastha Fair Authority, Ujjain Smt. Meena Vijay Jonewal, Chairperson of Ujjain Zila Panchayat Smt. Vishnu Hakam Singh Anjana and Chief Secretary.
Besides, Additional Chief Secretaries of Finance, School Education, Panchayats & Rural Development and Water Resources departments, Agriculture Production Commissioner, Principal Secretary (Coordination) in Chief Secretary’s Office, Principal Secretary GAD (Human Rights Cell/Personnel), Principal Secretaries of Jail, Finance, Religious Trusts and Endowments, Transport, Forest, Energy, Public Health & Family Welfare, Urban Development & Environment, Public Works, Public Relations, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Culture, Public Health Engineering, Women and Child Development, AYUSH and New & Renewable Energy departments, Secretaries of Urban Development & Environment, Panchayats & Rural Development and New and Renewable Energy departments, Commissioner Public Relations, Commissioner Cooperatives, Ujjain Divisional Commissioner, Indore Divisional Commissioner, Ujjain Collector, IG Ujjain, vice-chancellor of Vikram Vishwavidayalaya, Divisional Railway Manager, Western Railway, MD of Tourism Development Corporation, CEO of Ujjain Zila Panchayat and 10 local people nominated by Ujjain Collector have been also included as members of the committee. Simhastha Fair Officer will be Member-Secretary of the committee.
